HFD investigating possible arson at unoccupied home in South Union

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Around midnight, the Houston Fire Department (HFD) responded to a call of a fire at a one-story wood frame home at Arvilla and Belvedere. When they arrived, they found heavy gunfire coming from the rear of the house and through the roof. HFD firefighters responded quickly to put out the fire.

According to HFD, the fire started in a room in the back of the house. The homeowners were not home and there were no injuries. HFD Arson is investigating the cause of the fire.
