BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years in prison for fatally shooting a woman a little more than a year ago, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Officials said Jamin Haygood, 22, shot Jacquette Holley, 51, with an illegal shotgun on the night of May 27, 2023, inside a Delaware Avenue apartment building. Holley died at the scene.
