Michael Harris II takes the lead in Tuesday night’s game against the Nationals

The Atlanta Braves would love to right the ship.

Their hard month of May following last night’s 8-1 loss to the Washington Nationals during the series opener at Truist Park. They have now lost fourteen of the last twenty-five games, with the offense producing less than three and a half points per game during the streak.

Atlanta looks to get back to winning ways behind staff ace Max Frit (4-2, 3.38 ERA), facing right-hander Jake Irvin (2-5, 3.79).

Here’s how Atlanta will line up for the contest:

CFMichael Harris II
3B Austin Riley
DH Marcell Ozuna
1B Matt Olson
2B Ozzie Albies
C Sean Murphy
LF Jarred Kelenic
RF Adam Duvall
SSOrlando Arcia

Fried just finished his second complete game of the season, this one with three hits and no walks against the Chicago Cubs with two runs (one earned) and nine strikeouts. He didn’t face Washington often last season, hurting his hamstring on Opening Day after 3.1 innings against them, then finished his year with six innings on September 21, allowing only ‘only one run on three hits.

Here is the composition of the Nationals:

SS CJ Abrams
RF Lane Thomas
1B Joey Meneses
3B Nick Senzel
Keibert Ruiz
LF Jesse Winker
2B Ildemaro Vargas
C Riley Adams
CFJacob Young

Irvin is making his second career start against the Braves, hoping for much better results: On September 21 of last year, he allowed five runs on seven hits in just 2.2 innings for take the defeat. No Brave homered against him, but Austin Riley went 2-2 and Matt Olson, Michael Harris II and Ozzie Albies all went 1-2
