A blood drive will take place in Houston in June

Area residents will have the chance to win Springfield Cardinals tickets at an upcoming blood drive in Houston on Friday, June 7.

Successful donors will receive a Springfield Cardinals three-quarter sleeve baseball t-shirt and two free tickets to an upcoming Cardinals game, while supplies last.

Donors at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks provide all blood for patients at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Ozarks Healthcare, as well as dozens of healthcare facilities across the Ozarks. Houston area residents will have the opportunity to make a donation at First Christian Church (202 E. Highway 17) from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 7 in the basement.

“Our 20-year partnership with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has been instrumental in saving the lives of patients in southwest Missouri. We are proud to partner with CBCO again this year, for a two-month Bleed Red Blood Drive to continue making a positive impact on our community,” said Springfield Cardinals General Manager Dan Reiter.
