Sold-Out Chappell Roan Show Kicks Off Outer Harbor Concert Series

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A sold-out crowd of 6,000 fans came to see pop artist Chappell Roan kick off the Outer Harbor Concert Series Friday night.

The Midwest Princess Tour is the first concert to take place at the Outer Harbor’s new $13 million venue, Terminal B.

Fans from all over the country traveled to the Queen City for this massive event.

“I traveled six hours. I’m from Connecticut,” said fan Evelyn Bucker. “To Chappell, thank you for creating a space where everyone can be themselves.”

Other fans attending the sold-out show say Chappell Roan’s music helps them feel comfortable in who they are.

“She’s one of the few artists in the industry right now making music specifically for women, especially lesbians,” said fan Jordan Daniell. “It’s comforting to know there’s a queer artist looking out for you.”

“I never really felt like I found an artist who talked about being gay in the way that she does,” said fan Valentine Lance. “It’s rare for me to find an artist like her.”
