Midtown Atlanta fire damages ‘iconic’ Blake’s Park nightclub – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — A fire in Midtown led Atlanta firefighters to put out flames on 10th Street.

The fire happened at Blake’s on the Park, a popular Midtown nightclub.

Anare Holmes, public information officer for the Atlanta Fire Department, said Channel 2 Action News that the fire broke out on the upper level of the club but that the “iconic Atlanta LGBTQ+ club” did not suffer any serious structural damage.

Holmes said no one was inside or injured during the fire and the damage was minor.

However, Holmes said it was not yet clear what impact the fire and smoke would have on the club’s operating hours on Saturday.
