“People can see what we’re talking about”

There’s been a lot of talk about the 2024 Houston Texans and that’s before we even see what the team will look like on the field next season.

The reason behind this is based on what the Texans have done this offseason. After reaching the divisional round of the playoffs in 2023, the Texans significantly upgraded their roster by bringing in star players on both sides of the ball in free agency and trades. They also put together a solid plan in April.

Soon, we’ll see if what’s on paper will translate into wins for the Texans in one of the NFL’s toughest schedules. Speaking of schedules, coach DeMeco Ryans has been consistent in his stance regarding who they will play and which important games will be televised nationally. When he spoke to the media this week, Ryans remained steadfast.

“With the schedule coming out, of course, everyone is excited about the schedule and what we have in store,” Ryans said Tuesday. “I think for us, the guys have really earned the right to see the nationally televised games. I know it’s a big deal for everyone with the nationally televised games. More people can see what we’re talking about.”

The Texans will play four nationally televised games in 2024, which has never happened in franchise history. The Texans currently have an All-Madden-esk roster, so it’s completely understandable that the NFL would want them as on-air regulars during the regular season.

“For me, what matters is that our team plays great football,” Ryans said. “Whatever day we plan to play, whatever player we have to play, we just have to come out and be the best team that day. But I know our fans are excited and excited about every game that we have on national television.

“It’s good. It’s good for the organization, it’s a good place to be a part of it. The most nationally televised games we’ve had as an organization, so it’s an honor for everyone. everyone around this building. Not just the team, but everyone for the work they have done.
