Driver charged in Buffalo crash that killed 2, injured 2

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arraigned last week for allegedly causing a March crash on Main Street that killed two people and injured two others in another vehicle, the office said from the Erie County District Attorney.

Officials said Devin M. Ford, 23, was driving northbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed without his headlights on when he struck another vehicle just after midnight March 21 at the intersection of Humboldt Parkway.


The four occupants of the other vehicle were all taken by ambulance to ECMC, where the driver of the vehicle, Nasir Musazada, 27, of Buffalo, and the rear driver’s side passenger, Morgan Ehrenbeit, 26, of Ohio, were pronounced deceased. .

The vehicle’s two other passengers, both 31 years old and from Ohio, were hospitalized for their injuries. The vehicle was a Lyft transporting passengers from an event at Riverworks.

After the crash, authorities said Ford was arrested while trying to exit the vehicle. He was transported to ECMC for evaluation.

In total, Ford was accused of:

  • Two counts of second degree murder
  • Two counts of second-degree manslaughter
  • One count of first degree assault
  • One count of second degree assault
  • One count of third-degree assault

Ford remains held without bail and is due back in court on May 29. He faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison.
