Jennavee Oesch, 92, of Atlanta

Mrs. Jennavee Oesch On January 7, 1951, in Angola, Indiana, she married her husband, Arthur and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. The couple had resided in Atlanta since 1970. Arthur was a homeowner of Oesch Excavating from 1960 to 1993. Jennavee would drive dump trucks and farm tractors to help Arthur. He raised quarter horses and top breeding stallions with the help of Jennavee. They owned the second fastest horse named “Lucks Perfection” this side of the Mississippi. They also raced horses and co-owned Mt. Pleasant Racetrack. Together they also raised wild turkeys and pheasants. The couple also enjoyed fishing trips in Canada and deep sea fishing in Florida. Jennavee was the women’s shotgun shooting champion and loved water skiing. Besides her hobbies, she enjoyed time spent with her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, David (Robyn) Oesch of White Lake; Thomas Oesch of Hillman; grandchildren, Jonathan (Sara), Jacob (Emily), Adrian, Kenyon and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Norah, Elijah, Benjamin, Mia and Lochlan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Mildred Dell; husband, Arthur; and his brother, Norm Dell.

Jennavee’s funeral will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at noon at New Beginnings Ministries, Hillman. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. A luncheon will immediately follow the services. Burial will be in the Avery Township Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
