Atlanta Indie Wrestler Reportedly Murdered By Ex-Police Officer

The Atlanta independent wrestling scene is mourning the loss of one of its own.

Reginald Folks, who wrestled under the name Reggie Rage, was found shot to death in a car last Wednesday in Union City, Georgia. Folks, who trained at AR Fox’s World Wrestling Alliance 4 in Atlanta, was working for Lyft to raise more money for his wrestling career, his trainer, Thomas Ballester, told Atlanta News First.

“A lot of little kids looked up to him. He was a role model,” Ballester said.

On the morning of May 15, Folks picked up Koby Minor, an Atlanta police officer who was on administrative leave. Minor, previously arrested in December 2023, claimed to hear voices and believed Folks was part of a plot to kidnap him, according to Channel 2 Action News. When they reached an intersection, Minor attempted to unlock the car. Unable to do so, he allegedly shot Folks in the head.

Minor officially resigned from the Atlanta Police Department after being arrested in the Folks case and is currently in the Fulton County Jail without bail.

Speaking to Atlanta News First, wrestler Christian Turner described Folks as “a good soul.” The life of the party. He had a smile on his face every day. »

Cageside Seats extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Reginald Folks, also known as Reggie Rage, during this difficult time.
