HOUSTON, TEX (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Houston Astros 4-2 on Saturday before dropping a game 9-4 on Sunday.

On Saturday, William Contreras hit a two-out, three-run homer in a 13-pitch at-bat against Justin Verlander to give the Brewers the lead in the fifth inning. Blake Perkins had the other RBI.

Hoby Milner picked up the win in relief as the Brewers bullpen pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings. Trevor Megill made his 6th save.

On Sunday, Brewers starter Colin Rea struggled giving up five runs on eight hits and four walks in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out five.

The Brewers cut a 6-1 deficit to 6-4 with three runs in the 7th, but the Astros responded with three of their own in the bottom of the inning.

Brice Turang and Christian Yelich each had two RBIs for Milwaukee.

The Brewers, now 27-19, head to Miami for a three-game series against the Marlins starting Monday night. Pregame show at 5:05 p.m. on WSAU.
