Micah Hyde Charity Softball Game Raises 5,000 for Youth

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) – We all can’t wait to see the Buffalo Bills back on the field at Highmark Stadium. Sunday afternoon, they laced up their cleats to compete at Sahlen Field.

“I don’t want to be too biased, but it’s our favorite event because we get in front of the crowd, the players love it, the coaches love it,” said Michah Hyde, organizer of the Micah Charity Softball Game Hyde.

It’s usually limited to current Bills players, but with Hyde’s future up in the air, he decided to put the safety duo together again and bring in Jordan Poyer to play.

“It means everything, man, he’s my brother for life,” Hyde said.

And the fans loved it, filling the stands and cheering on the players, helping Hyde raise money for Hyde’s Imagine For Youth Foundation.

“These fans are amazing…they took this game to the next level, they honestly took the foundation to the next level with the recognition that they were able to show up and sell this thing, that’s everything for me and for my family in the foundation,” Hyde said.

It was a packed house at Sahlen Field Sunday afternoon.

It was attack on defense and Josh Allen and his team won 10-9.

They managed to raise $625,000, surpassing last year’s $400,000. Hyde says they will also help support other players’ foundations.
