Art walks and sculpture gardens aren’t incredibly unique, but Constitution Lakes Park, south of Atlanta, has one of the more bizarre examples.

Doll’s Head Trail is exactly what it sounds like: a trailhead with doll heads, among other body parts.

Those who hike from the Constitution Lakes Park trailhead deep into the woods on the paved path will eventually come across a small loop decorated with a variety of strange and intriguing artwork including electronics, hardware fishing and old toys.

The Doll's Head Trail at Constitution Lakes Park in Atlanta is made up of a variety of found objects discovered throughout the park, including bricks, antique toys, signs, and dolls. Volunteers maintain the trail to ensure people do not bring outside items to update the trail.

The business was started in 2010 by Joel Slaton, a local carpenter, who was exploring the park and digging up all sorts of discarded items, including many doll parts, from a pit and the nearby river. The original source of these dolls remains a mystery, but it was an intriguing discovery. Instead of throwing them away, he combined the treasures he found into new works of art and created a makeshift trail in the middle of the woods. As this creative yet spooky attraction gained attention, Slaton eventually received permission from DeKalb County to maintain the trail.
