Buffalo Wild Wings opens its doors to hungry customers in Hartland

Hartland Township. — More than 70 TVs have been turned on, the beer is flowing, and a hot wing challenge is ready for anyone who dares.

A newly constructed Buffalo Wild Wings has opened at 10530 Hartland Square Drive, near Highland Road/M-59, in Hartland Township.

Co-owner Bobby Kramer, who has operated several Buffalo Wild Wings locations in Michigan, including one in nearby Howell, said it was a good location for the restaurant and sports bar.

“We knew Hartland was growing, and we just saw that growth,” said Kramer, who also co-owns nearby Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza.

He and his business partners, Jim Womac and Tom Adkins, looked for locations with existing anchor companies. In this case, Meijer and an Emagine Theater.

Walking into the large restaurant, it’s clear there’s not a bad seat in the house for watching sports. The restaurant has two video walls and 73 televisions.

“We want to provide the best and brightest sports bar viewing experience in Livingston County,” Kramer said. “Any game, any live sport…we can present it to our guests.”

He hopes the new location will serve as a “gathering space” for residents.

“It’s a meeting place where people can relax at the bar,” he said. “We want to be that place.”

The restaurant can accommodate 247 seats, including a central bar with 27 seats. It has a separate entrance for take-out orders.

It was designed to be “a modern take on a Buffalo Wild Wings,” Kramer said.

He said “modern” features include three garage doors, which can be opened in nice weather, and the “continuous bar”.

Buffalo Wild Wings – officially dubbed B-Dubs – is known for its chicken wings. Kramer said their burgers and queso dip are also popular. They serve hand-breaded chicken sandwiches, wraps, tacos and salads.

Those who don’t mind the burn can attempt the “Blazin’ Knockout Challenge,” which requires eating 10 ghost pepper wings in five minutes. Those who complete it earn a headband, a free scoop of ice cream and their name displayed on a television.

The restaurant also offers happy hour and late night specials.

Kramer plans to hold fundraisers and sponsor local sports teams.

“We want to be connected in our communities.”
