Buffalo Bills News and Rumors, Taylor Swift Style

Some think it was planned. The NFL says it’s just a coincidence.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Did the NFL give the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift a break when they recently released the 2024 schedule?

Swift, as you may have heard, is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and appeared at NFL stadiums across the country to watch her boyfriend’s games last season. Kansas City went 10-3 in games it attended, including the Super Bowl in February.

So some raised eyebrows when it was announced that the Chiefs would play at Orchard Park, against the Buffalo Bills, on Sunday, November 17.

Why would it be so bad? As it happens, Swift performed six concerts in Toronto, starting with three in the days leading up to the Week 11 game (November 14-16) and continuing into the following week (November 21-23).

Was this planned or just a coincidence?

“I saw a lot of conspiracy theorists talking about Kansas City going to Buffalo in the middle of the season, right around the time Taylor was playing in Toronto. That one definitely didn’t hit our radar screen,” said Mike North, NFL vice president of broadcast planning, The Associated. Press Thursday, less than 24 hours after the release of the NFL schedule.

She won’t be at every Chiefs game this season. There are three dates during the regular season where Swift and Kelce will work.

Swift performs concerts on October 20 in Miami, October 27 in New Orleans and December 8 in Vancouver. The Chiefs will play road games against the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders, as well as a home date with the Los Angeles Chargers, on those days.

The annual release of the NFL schedule sparks an immediate response across the league.

Fans are waiting to see what games they have to put on the schedule. Analysts are racing to analyze the quirks and pitfalls that could arise for each team. Not to mention a curiosity about all the games on prime time.
