Huntsville, Alabama (May 18, 2024) – The Huntsville City Football Club lost 3-2 to Atlanta United 2 at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium despite Foster Ajago scoring twice in his return from injury.

Atlanta first got on the board thanks to Javier Armas, then doubled their lead following a goal from Miles Hadley. Huntsville cut the lead in the 66th minute when Jony Bolaños’ cross found substitute Forster Ajago, who finished the chance to score his first goal of the season.

Karim Tmimi extended Atlanta’s lead to two, but the Boys in Blue immediately got one back when Fernando Cicero’s cross found Ajago, who sent the ball into the top of the net for his second goal of the night .

Huntsville City FC will return to action next Sunday, May 26 at 5 p.m. CT at Orlando City B. The match can be seen on MLS Season Pass on AppleTV, while Huntsville residents can attend the club’s official party at Yellowhammer Brewing.
