Purple Alert issued for former Marion firefighter

A Purple Alert has been issued for a missing former Marion County Fire Rescue lieutenant who was last seen in Dixie County.

On Sunday, May 19, Andrew William English was reported missing by the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office.

According to DCSO, English was last seen at his home in Dixie County. When he was last seen he was wearing a light blue t-shirt, blue shorts and blue HEYDUDE shoes.

In a social media post Sunday morning, the sheriff’s office said English may be driving a silver 2013 GMC 2500 pickup.
