President Joe Biden’s campaigns meet with community ahead of Morehouse keynote address – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – In less than 12 hours – President Joe Biden will deliver the commencement address at Morehouse College.

President Joe Biden made his rounds in downtown Atlanta Saturday afternoon ahead of his commencement speech Sunday morning at Morehouse College.

“I’m going to Morehouse tomorrow and, by the way, let’s wish the guy a happy graduation,” President Biden said.

Channel 2 Action News cameras were part of the president’s media motorcade — accompanying him to a stop at the historic Mary Macs Tea Room in Midtown.

“It’s good to be back – the last time I was in this room was 2014 or 2015,” the president said.

“This is an experience I will never forget – President Biden’s demeanor and interaction was certainly exactly what I expected,” said Morehouse College graduate Kerry Singleton.

The President arrived aboard Air Force One shortly after noon today at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, allowing him to anticipate campaign opportunities.

“As a proud Morehouse College alumnus, I am delighted to welcome the President of the United States to Georgia,” said Senator Raphael Warnock.

Meanwhile, hundreds of graduates and families are eager to hear the president’s message Sunday morning.

“I’m able to gracefully walk onto this stage… my parents… my grandparents and my siblings will have the opportunity to watch the POTUS himself give a speech – I’m excited about it, but I think of my family – that’s what means the most,” Singleton said.
