Construction trailer catches fire at Clove site in Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. — An open-top dumpster tractor-trailer caught fire at The Clove construction site Friday afternoon, with flames and smoke directly affecting the 7-story multi-family residential building under construction.

The Buffalo Grove Fire Department said no injuries were reported and the fire at 202 McHenry Road remains under investigation.

Crews deployed two fire attack lines, along with a main stream of ladder trucks, to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the building. Officials said other remaining BGFD firefighters worked to quickly evacuate the building.
