Atlanta Falcons release OLB Ade Ogundeji, clear 90-man roster spot

The Atlanta Falcons announced they have released outside linebacker Ade Ogundeji, Notre Dame’s fifth-round outside linebacker. In three seasons, Ogundeji played in 32 games, winning 27. He finished his Atlanta career with 75 total tackles (37 solo), eight tackles for loss and three sacks.

Ogundeji was only expected to be a core special teams player, perhaps a rotational passer. But after his injury in 2023 and his performance on the field, he was far from staying on a roster that had become competitive in the top seven.

If the Falcons don’t find someone to fill that final spot on the 90-man roster, we could see Ogundeji back on the roster, fighting for a spot on the practice squad.
