Cop on a Roof 2024: Where to Find Officers in Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. — Officers from the Buffalo Grove Police Department will monitor the roof of two local Dunkin’ Donuts locations on Friday, May 17, as part of the 21st annual Cop on a Rooftop event. Funds are being raised for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and will benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Local Agents can be spotted from 5 a.m. to noon atop Dunkin’ Donuts at the following locations:

• 1165 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove
• 245 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove

According to the event website, more than $8.7 million has been raised in Illinois since the event began. This money helped 21,000 Special Olympics Illinois athletes.

This year also marks the 21st anniversary of Dunkin’s partnership with Illinois law enforcement for the Illinois Special Olympics Torch Run. Each guest who donates to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut. Guests who donate $10 or more will receive a LETR/Dunkin’ branded travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.
