Police are investigating two separate fatal knife attacks on Jacksonville’s west side

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate fatal knife attacks across Jacksonville on Thursday afternoon.

The first knife attack occurred at an Oakleaf home on Stapleton Drive in the Cooper Ridge neighborhood. According to police, this was a domestic incident involving several people.

A neighbor who called 911 said a man attacked his parents and a woman who was a friend of the family, then killed himself.

Jean M., a neighbor who was not home at the time of the incident, was devastated.

“They were such great neighbors. I never suspected anything like that. At all. Very quiet. The parents are lovely and I never would have thought something like that,” said Jean.

Police did not release further details, but sources told News4JAX that several victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he died.
