Def Leppard and Journey tour coming to Houston’s Minute Maid Park on August 14

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Get ready to relive ’80s rock here in Houston as two of rock’s most iconic and influential bands, JOURNEY and DEF LEPPARD, prepare to perform in Houston this August.

The band has announced the hottest headlining stadium tour of the summer. These two unforgettable bands will join forces to conquer stadium stages across North America in 2024. This legendary collaboration promises a musical journey like no other, igniting the hearts and souls of fans and delivering an evening of unforgettable rock anthems . The 23-city tour kicks off July 6. An all-star lineup of bands will vary by city to complement an evening of rock music with performances by: Steve Miller Band, Heart and Cheap Trick. DEF LEPPARD released their 12th studio album to critical and commercial acclaim Diamond Star Halos in 2022, which charted worldwide, including a top 5 and a top 10 hit in North America and the UK. They followed this release with Drastic symphonies in May 2023, with the biggest tracks produced by Def Leppard radically reimagined, via the band in collaboration with London’s iconic Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road. The album spent 15 weeks at number one on the Billboard Current Classical Chart. In early 2023, the group achieved a #1 film on Netflix in the UK with their appearance in the acclaimed film. JOURNEY features founder Neal Schon (lead guitarist/backing vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals), Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass). . Neal Schon is a three-time Hall of Fame inductee, having previously been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Jon Cain received two BMI Songwriter Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of JOURNEY. Most recently, JOURNEY has played sold-out arenas on his FREEDOM Tour and is looking forward to summer stadium shows.
