8 Water Parks to Discover This Summer in the Houston Area

There are several water parks to cool off in this summer in the Greater Houston area as well as water parks outside of Houston that are worth a visit. This list is not understandable.

Big Rivers Water and Adventure Park

Big Rivers attractions feature water park activities such as water slide races, frio falls, and a river float, among other attractions including alligator interaction, a petting zoo, and ax throwing.

Calypso Cove

This water park is designed for children to enjoy the water park attractions which include a swimming pool, small slide, dump bucket, mini rope climber and open swimming areas.

Pirate Bay

Pirates Bay Water Park attractions include a long lazy river, wave pool, water slides and two children’s play structures with spray nozzles, toddler slides and water guns. The property offers reservation and rental services, special events, swimming lessons and aquatic programs.

Rob Fleming Aquatic Center

The Rob Fleming Aquatic Center features beach chairs, swimming lanes, a lazy river, play structure and water slide.

Schlitterbahn Galveston

Located in Galveston, Schlitterbahn features a water park with high-speed slides, raft rides, swimming pools, and a water roller coaster with picnic pavilions as well as small water play areas for children of all ages.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown offers rides for adults and children, including thrill rides, family rides and children’s rides. Rides and activities include high-speed slides, a giant swimming pool, a tubing river and Bonzai Pipelines, a seven-story pipeline.

Attractions at Typhoon Texas Waterpark include a lazy river made up of 480,000 gallons of crystal clear water, a Buckaroo Bayou with mini slides, splash pads for kids and water slide races. The water park also offers cabana rentals and dining options, and hosts birthday parties.

The year-round destination features an expansive forest oasis water park and lazy river with two pools and three hot tubs. Other amenities include water slides, lounge areas, a grill and a hot tub.
