Buffalo Bills’ 2024 schedule sets up challenge for Weeks 3-6

Every first-place schedule looks like a tough slate on paper. That’s why it’s a top program.

But as fans begin to dissect the Buffalo Bills’ 2024 schedule, fresh off the team’s fourth straight AFC East title, one particular sequence stands out as a fulcrum for the season: a cadence of matches that makes you feel a particular way at a time. your favorite team’s progress so far and a potential omen of things to come for the rest of the year.

For the Bills, that stretch could very well be Weeks 3-6, where the Bills face the AFC playoff contenders four weeks in a row with multiple primetime games, short weeks and three games at outside in a row.

Buffalo will face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football in Week 3 on September 23, then will have a short week to travel to Maryland to face the Baltimore Ravens, who are pushing for the next step after reaching the AFC Championship Game last season.

Baltimore’s outing will result in “Stefon Diggs Week” as the Bills travel to Texas to face the suddenly dangerous Houston Texans, featuring their budding young star quarterback CJ Stroud and a certain former Buffalo Bills wide receiver. After the circus that the Houston game will likely become in terms of narrative, it’s back to the East Coast for the New York Jets – who field a defense that has historically given quarterback Josh Allen the most problems among all of its AFC East rivals. Adding a few degrees of difficulty will be the advantage of facing a quarterback who we can only assume will be better than Zach Wilson.

Playing these four teams in a row is just normal for division champions. When you combine that with the fact that the AFC has been the better of the NFL’s two conferences recently, it adds a little more meaning to each game because a team is less likely to be able to sneak into the playoffs with a record lesser. The icing on the cake, however, is the factors: prime time, on the road, the Stefon Diggs game. It’s going to be a crazy month…
…and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Football is getting closer and closer.

To make a slight twist to a beloved slogan, where would you rather they be than there, right now?
