Georgia 400 crash leaves one dead

ATLANTA — One person is dead after a crash on southbound Georgia 400 in Atlanta Wednesday evening, police said.

Officers responded to southbound GA-400 at the I-85 interchange just past Sidney Marcus Boulevard for a single-vehicle crash, Atlanta police said. Upon arrival, officers found an overturned vehicle with an occupant who was pronounced dead at the scene.

All lanes of GA-400 South are closed past Sidney Marcus Boulevard, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. The scheduled end time listed is 11 p.m.

Investigators are trying to determine the causes of the accident.
