Saints were reportedly interested in Marquez Valdes-Scantling before he signed with Buffalo

The New Orleans Saints are still currently studying the wide receiver market, according to the report.

Former Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling reportedly attracted interest from the team before reaching an agreement with the Buffalo Bills. The Saints and Valdes-Scantling had interest in joining forces in 2022 before the Kansas City Chiefs added a third year to the Saints’ two-year offer.

With the market being thin this time of year, the team can’t make many additions that could shake things up for them. However, one name that many will point to as an option is former Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. Not only does Renfrow know quarterback Derek Carr, but his addition makes you feel a lot better about the depth the team would have at the position. It’s clear that Renfrow’s best days are behind him, but we’ve seen what he’s capable of as a dependable pass catcher in the middle of the field.

It will be interesting to see if the team decides to add to this position before the start of the season.
