Atlanta Falcons 2024 schedule released: Home and road opponents and more on the upcoming season

The NFL will release the 2024 schedules for all 32 teams on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. Here’s what we know so far about the Atlanta Falcons’ schedule.

The Falcons will face every team in the NFC East and AFC West, as well as the 2023 third-place teams from the NFC North, NFC West and AFC North. Atlanta will also see its NFC South division rivals twice, once on the road and once at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, as part of its 17-game schedule.

For the third straight season, the Falcons went 7-10 in 2023, leading to the firing of coach Arthur Smith and a new chapter at the quarterback position. Former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris is the new head coach, and former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins ​​is the new leader of the offense, after signing a contract of $180 million over four years with $100 million guaranteed. Despite this commitment to Cousins, the Falcons stunned the NFL world by selecting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth pick in the April NFL Draft.
