Houston County schools will end the semester with a half day next week

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) – On Wednesday, May 22, students in the Houston County School District will get a half day off and leave classes early for the summer.

School will start at the usual time, but will end at the following times:

• Colleges – 11:30 a.m.
• High schools – 12:00 p.m.
• Primary and elementary schools – 12:30 p.m.

No extracurricular programs will be offered that day, and students who take the bus must arrive approximately three hours earlier than their usual drop-off time.
