Partygoer shot dead in Houston’s East End, HPD says

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 6700 block of Avenue U in Houston’s East End.

Houston police arrived on scene and found a victim shot in the shoulder. Police say there was a party at the house on Avenue U when a gun was pulled, causing the victim to be shot.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) is investigating whether she was targeted and believes the incident may involve minors. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition.
