Gene Terrence Houston, 76, of Hampton

Gene Terrence Houston, “Terry”, 76, died on May 8, 2024. He was very strong in his illness and is now at peace.

Terry was a proud Hampton High crabber and was a graduate of the Carolina Military Academy. He owned GT Houston Roofing & Sheet Metal Company for many years and retired in 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roper Rowe Houston and Mary Catherine Rollins Houston and his brothers, Roper Jr., Wayne and Lynn.

Terry is survived by his ex-wife, Sue Houston Leed (Stephen); son, Rich Houston (Anne); grandchildren, Dylan Houston, Alex Silva, Logan Silva and great-grandson, Isaac Houston. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins ​​and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point, Virginia. The family will receive friends at Sue’s residence following religious services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
