Houston Astros skipper says new Star lineup not permanent despite success

The Houston Astros are looking to put together a string of wins so they can get their season back on track after being one of the worst teams in the league to start the year.

It was a surprising turn of events and one of the biggest storylines, as this dynastic club found itself embarrassed game after game due to its poor pitching and ill-timed hitting.

One of the main culprits was Alex Bregman.

The superstar third baseman is no stranger to slow starts throughout his career, but as the Astros struggled, his issues were thrust into the spotlight as everyone looked for a way to move him forward at marble.

Manager Joe Espada was no different.

He tried to move Bregman to different spots in the lineup to give him different looks. The star has been ranked anywhere between second, third and fourth in the order, with the majority of his at-bats coming as the No. 4 hitter.

This changed during the New York Yankees Series which took place on May 7.

Espada pushed his star to sixth, which is normally unprecedented for a hitter as prolific as Bregman.

However, on Monday he finally got to show off his offensive genius when he went 3-3 with two home runs, a double, a walk and four RBIs in Houston’s dominant 9-2 win over the Athletics. Oakland.

That comes from sixth in the lineup, but despite the success, Bregman’s skipper says he may not stay there for long.

“Well, he’s not going to be out there very long, once we see the Bregman that we all know. But it helps you relax, it helps you come to the plate when people are on base and the pitchers are now in a corner, so I think that helped,” Espada said according to Leah Vann of Chron.com.

It’s just.

Bregman is too good a hitter not to be located at the top of the order with the possibility of getting more at-bats during the game if that presents itself.

When he returns to being the hitter that made him one of the best in Major League Baseball, he should return to his usual cleanup spot.

But when that happens, it ultimately depends on the superstar, who looks to continue putting in consistent performances at the plate.
