The seafood chain is reportedly looking to sell its restaurants in order to avoid bankruptcy, according to CNBC.

The three Western New York locations are on Maple Road in Amherst, Transit Road in Williamsville, E. Fairmount Ave. in Lakewood and McKinley Parkway in Blasdell.

The Millcreek Mall location in Erie, Pennsylvania is also temporarily closed.

More than 80 Red Lobster locations in at least 27 states were listed as “temporarily closed” on the restaurant’s website.

CNBC reports that the chain was considering filing for bankruptcy because sales were slow and it faced costly leases.

It is unclear whether the closures are permanent. 2 On Your Side messaged Red Lobsters media representatives to learn more about the closures and what people with gift cards can do. We will provide an update as soon as we have a response.
