Atlanta Ranks No. 1 Career Starter for 2024 in WalletHub Study

Atlanta once again ranked No. 1 on WalletHub’s list of best cities to start a career.

The website published the annual list on Monday. WalletHub compared the relative market strength and overall livability of more than 180 U.S. cities and examined each based on 26 metrics ranging from entry-level job availability to average monthly starting salary.

TRENDING STORIES:

Atlanta came in first on the list with a total score of 65.84. The city also ranked #1 in job opportunities and #7 in quality of life.

According to the website, Atlanta has one of the highest growth rates in median household income at around 8.9%. The median annual household income is $79,000.

Atlanta also has many job opportunities at companies rated 4 out of 5 stars on Glassdoor.

Atlanta also ranked sixth best large city and fourth best entertainment city and best city for singles.

Columbus, Georgia, also made the list, ranking 130th.
