184 people board plane over Buffalo with cracked windshield

There’s a plane flying over Buffalo with a cracked windshield and 184 people on board.

UPDATE: The plane made the emergency landing safely.

According to the Erie County Blotter Facebook page, which is an unofficially run citizen page, an emergency is occurring over Buffalo, New York.

“Cheektowaga – Alert 2/Alarm 3 for a plane with a cracked windshield. 184 people on board.

Update: The plane has landed safely,” according to the message.

According to the post, it appears the pilots noticed the windshield within seconds. The plane took off 26 seconds later when the report came out that it was returning to the airport. The flight to Jacksonville, Florida, was scheduled to arrive shortly after 8 a.m. Monday morning.

In February, a scary situation occurred when a door on a small plane collapsed in Western New York. Experts believe the gate could have fallen somewhere in Cheektowaga, specifically around Stiglmeier/Losson Park, at the corner of Losson and Borden. To this day, the door has still not been found.
