4 Buffalo Bills veterans who could lose snaps to rookies in 2024

The Buffalo Bills held their rookie minicamp this past weekend, which for some players was an opportunity to try out and hopefully land a contract, as linebacker Joe Andreessen did. However, for the majority of these players, they at least got the contract but their work is far from done.

It was a chance to make a first impression on the coaches and front office after being drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft or signing a contract shortly thereafter as an undrafted free agent. In the past, the Bills have been drafted with the future in mind and some players were likely going to be welcomed and given a chance to develop.

However, with the moves the Bills had to make this offseason due to the salary cap, this rookie class should contribute almost immediately. Even though the Bills won’t be handing the starting jobs to these rookies, a number of first-year players could be key pieces sooner rather than later.
