Buffalo Bills’ James Cook expected to be named All-Pro for the first time in 2024

Could Buffalo Bills running back James Cook be on his way to an All-Pro selection in 2024?

Sports Illustrated recently made projections on NFL players who could do just that next season. The Bills running back is among the magazine’s projections for early All-Pro picks in 2024.

Looking back on Cook’s efforts last season, despite his Pro Bowl honor, it might be hard to imagine him earning such a nomination. However, when combined with a look to the future, it makes sense.

The departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis this summer have most of Buffalo’s players taking a closer look at the receivers lineup heading into training camp. How will things shake out there?

It’s a valid question, but there are other positions that could step up and carry the load. One of those positions is running back, and Cook is at the top of that depth chart.

SI’s point breakdown for a possible Cook All-Pro nomination can be found below:

Cook was in high demand when Joe Brady took over as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator midseason. Now that Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis are gone, expect Cook to be in even greater demand as the Bills move toward a more ground-and-pound style of football.
