Atlanta Braves News: Ramon Laureano Activated, Rain in Atlanta, More

The Atlanta Braves announced Friday that outfielder Ramon Laureano has been reinstated from the injured list.

Laureano had been on injured reserve since July 10 with an oblique injury.

Laureano, 30, joined the Braves in May on a minor league contract. He has since appeared in 11 major league games, registering nine hits to go along with a .257 average.

The Cleveland Guardians have agreed to an $8.95 million contract with No. 1 overall pick Travis Bazzana. The Oregon State alumnus was Cleveland’s first No. 1 overall pick in franchise history.

The Washington Nationals have reinstated left-hander Jose A. Ferrer from the 60-day injured list. To open up a roster spot, the club optioned right-hander Amos Willingham. The club also signed first-round pick Seaver King.

Nationals right-hander Josiah Gray will undergo ACL surgery and miss the remainder of the season. It has not yet been determined whether the surgery will be a full Tommy John procedure.

The Colorado Rockies have officially signed third overall pick Charlie Condon to a $9.25 million signing bonus, tying him with Chase Burns for the largest signing bonus in MLB history.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reinstated Joe Kelly from the disabled list to take the place of left-hander Jose Hernandez, who was scratched Thursday.
