Hochul says it has raised $7.3 million in the first half of 2024

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has raised more than $7.3 million in the first half of 2024, her campaign announced Tuesday morning, a record amount for a governor at this point in the election cycle.

Of that money raised, $5.8 million is going to Friends for Kathy Hochul for her re-election bid and more than $1.4 million to the state Democratic Party.

The governor has more than $13.5 million in cash in her campaign account and has raised more than $22 million for her reelection campaign and the state party since January 2023. Hochul said two weeks ago that she plans to run for another four-year term in 2026.

“Governor Hochul works tirelessly to address New Yorkers’ top concerns, from taking action on affordability and public safety to passing statewide legislation like paid pregnancy leave and social media restrictions,” Hochul spokeswoman Jen Goodman said in a statement. “As leader of the New York State Democratic Party, Governor Hochul is making unprecedented investments in the party, with a focus on flipping the House in 2024 and building an operation that will support Democrats for years to come. This latest fundraising underscores the Governor’s broad support among New Yorkers who are committed to advancing Governor Hochul’s vision and electing Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024 and beyond.”
