One of the most overrated players

IIt seems that not everyone is a fan of Buffalo Bills strategist Josh Allen.

Although the 28-year-old has become one of the faces of the NFL since being selected seventh overall by the team in the 2018 NFL Draft, some still question his abilities given that he has yet to appear in the Super Bowl.

“One of the most overrated players in the NFL,” an unnamed executive said of Allen in a conversation with Jeremy Fowler from ESPN.

“He’s got a ton of talent but he makes a lot of mistakes. He’s not good enough to win at the line of scrimmage, he tends to lock on targets, he’s more of a thrower than a precision passer, he forces throws in traffic.”

Hunter noted that Allen has a league-best 173 touchdowns since the start of the 2020 regular season.although he also threw a league-worst 57 interceptions during the same span.

“He leaves you wanting more,” another AFC executive said. “But if you’re going to pick who you want to have running your team, he’s going to be second or third for most people. The ceiling is still very high. And I don’t really think he’s the reason why.” Invoices could not be completed.

Not everyone agrees

While many are doubtful about Allen, who ranked third in the NFL among eligible players with a 69.6 adjusted QBR for the 2023 season, many are also praising the California native.

“I’ve seen a quarterback who is consistently high-performing and elevates his team at every opportunity,” another senior NFL official said in the ESPN article.
