Fentanyl dealer arrested in Davidson County — DavidsonLocal.com

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Department and the Vice and Narcotics Division launched an investigation into narcotics trafficking.

During their investigation, Detectives Marcus Dwayne Parker and Cory William Bailor were able to identify individuals who distributed fentanyl in Davidson County.

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Parker and Bailor, as well as search warrants for several locations.

With the help of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the Greensboro Police Department, detectives were able to locate and stop Parker. He attempted to flee from detectives by ramming police vehicles with his vehicle, but was quickly apprehended after a short chase. There were no injuries in the incident.

Bailor was located and arrested without incident. Detectives executed several search warrants in Lexington and Greensboro. As a result of the search warrants, detectives seized over 60 grams of fentanyl and a large amount of U.S. dollars.

Parker was charged with Trafficking Opium or Heroin by Transportation, Trafficking Opium or Heroin by Possession, PWISD Schedule II (2 counts), Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Government Official (2 counts), Resisting a Public Official, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Parker was held on bail at the Davidson County Detention Center.

Bailor was charged with PWISD Schedule II and remanded in the Davidson County Detention Center on bail.
