Mold spores add to misery in Houston after Hurricane Beryl

Mold spores add to misery in Houston after Hurricane Beryl

HOUSTON – The aftermath of Hurricane Beryl left many people without water in their homes and cars, and millions without power in the Houston area.

While cleanup efforts are underway, such as picking up broken tree branches, debris in yards, and possible water damage in your home, mold can become a problem for many.

To prevent mold from growing in your home, ventilate rooms and disinfect everything around your home.

If you have lost power, clean your refrigerator and disinfect it as well.

Unfortunately, with climate change, our mold problems will only get worse.

Climate change will increase our mold problems. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.)
