Buffalo Bills’ division rival placed on list of most ridiculous players heading into 2024

Buffalo Bills’ division rival placed on list of most ridiculous players heading into 2024

For what seems like forever, the New York Jets have been the laughing stock of the NFL. The franchise is a disaster and they never seem to get anything right no matter how hard they try. They may have their glory for a second or two, but in the end, we see the same story unfold. Since 2021, the Jets have been trying to get things right with head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. The duo has made some good choices as well as some bad choices (like any other organization), but they have the most pressure of any duo in the NFL next season.

When the Jets decided to trade Aaron Rodgers last offseason, they were hoping not only to win now, but also to potentially help Zach Wilson develop, who had struggled mightily in his young career. Some fans and analysts predicted the Jets were a Super Bowl favorite with Rodgers. On paper, there’s an argument, but it means nothing when it comes to game time.

We all know what happened in Rodgers’ first season last year, due to his torn Achilles tendon. Some have speculated that Rodgers may not have been able to return because, ultimately, he was coming back from a serious injury at his age. Rodgers is set to return for the Jets and management is putting all their eggs in the basket in hopes that this partnership works out.

Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report published an article on the five biggest regrets teams could have this offseason and, unsurprisingly, the Jets are on that list. Gagnon mentioned that the Jets could regret taking a chance on Rodgers for a second time.

The Jets haven’t had a replacement for Rodgers since trading Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos. So far, the two quarterbacks who will be playing on game days this year are Rodgers and former Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Rodgers play at the level he once did. While he can still throw, he’s not the same dynamic quarterback he once was. Add in a recovery from a major injury that will make it even more difficult for him and the Jets.

Say what you will about the Bills, but the Jets have a lot more to lose this year than Buffalo.
