3 Undrafted Free Agents to Watch at Bills Training Camp

Gore Jr. doesn’t intend to take snaps from James Cook or Ty Johnson, but rather to be part of the team. If the Bills decide to keep four backs, that spot could go to him if he has a good summer. He signed with the Bills immediately after the draft, which clearly shows that the Bills value his game and believe he would be a valuable asset to the team.

If he makes the roster, Gore Jr. may not see many offensive snaps early in the season. As the fourth running back on recent Bills teams, they don’t see the field very often, with Taiwan Jones being the most recent in 2022, having not recorded a single carry. Before him was Senorise Perry in 2019, when he recorded just three rushing attempts. Gore Jr. will have to find another way to get on the field in his rookie year. If he can play special teams at a high level, Gore Jr. could take over the job of one of the veterans Buffalo let go in March.

The Bills like his ground and pound game as they look to add a different dimension to the offense. He may not see many rushing attempts early on, but when he does, he’ll be a nice complement to James Cook going forward.
