Atlanta United 2 loses 6-2 to New York Red Bulls II

The home side finished the half with three clean sheets. In the 43rd minute, Rafael Antonio Mosquera sent a cross into the box from the left side which was met by Williams, but his attempted clearance was missed and sent into the net. In the 45th minute, Julian Hall made a tackle in midfield and carried the ball towards the box before firing a right-footed shot into the left side of the goal from 20 yards. Five minutes into added time, Juan Gutierrez Ruiz headed in a corner to make it 4-1 at the break.

New York’s Mosquera scored his own goal in the 88th minute after finding himself on the other end of a pass sent into the middle of the box, slamming the ball into the top right corner of the goal.

Atlanta’s last chance came five minutes into added time of the second half. Midfielder Javier Armas took a corner that was deflected towards the back post by Noble Okello before Chong Qui finished his right-footed volley that found its way into the bottom left corner.
