Colorado Parks and Wildlife says one person is dead and another is in critical condition after a boat struck three rowers in Navajo State Park on Saturday.

At about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a boat struck an inner tube being towed behind another boat near Windsurf Beach in Navajo State Park. People on the two boats called 911 and Southern Ute rangers and police arrived shortly after the incident. Three people were on the inner tube, according to a CPW news release Saturday.

One person died at the scene, another was flown to a hospital by helicopter in critical condition. The third tuber was uninjured, park officials said. The identity of the deceased person has not yet been publicly released.
