3 people shot in metro Atlanta courtyard in apparent murder-suicide – WSB-TV Channel 2

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what they are describing as a murder-suicide.

Deputies were called to a home on the highway. 82 less than a mile from the Winder city limits where they found three people who had been shot.

Two of them died and their bodies were found in the courtyard on Friday evening.

Investigators have since identified the two deceased people as 22-year-old Bradley Messer and 58-year-old Jeffery Orr.

A third person was also shot and taken to the hospital. He or she is expected to make a full recovery.

Details about what led to the shooting have not been released.

They did not comment on the relationship between Messer and the victims.
