Police Officer Holds Annual Free Watermelon Giveaway July 16 in Houston | Texas

Houston, Texas — Constable Mark Herman will host his annual free watermelon giveaway on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., or while supplies last.

The event, which will feature locally grown watermelons from Atkinson Farms Produce, will be held at 3217 Spring Cypress Road. Each family can receive one free watermelon, according to a news release from Constable Herman’s office.

“This is another way to stay hydrated this summer and beat the heat,” the press release reads. “Giving back to the community we serve is another way our Mounties invest in the community we serve.”

The event is open to all citizens and no county funds will be used. Constable Herman and his deputies will be on hand to greet attendees. “It is an honor to serve your communities!” the statement added.
