A ‘potential water main incident’ has been reported in northwest Atlanta, the water department says.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Reports of a “potential water main incident” are being investigated in a residential neighborhood in Bankhead, according to the Atlanta Department of Watershed.

Watershed officials said crews were dispatched to 1170 Woodland Avenue NW. Officials warned nearby residents and businesses that there could be water outages.

A resident of an apartment complex in the area told Atlanta News First they did not experience any service outages.

Watershed officials responded to an 8-inch water main break Thursday that closed roads in Buckhead. Five apartment complexes experienced water service interruptions.
