In the first leak of Houston’s 2024-25 schedule, Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans will travel to Toyota Center to take on Alperen Sengun and the Rockets on Tuesday, October 15.

This is the final preseason game for the Pelicans, which likely means the 2024-25 NBA regular season will begin a few days to a week after the final date of October 15.

Full schedules for all 30 NBA teams will be released in August, with tickets for individual games available for purchase shortly thereafter.

The Pelicans (49-33) are a Southwest Division rival of the Rockets, and they should improve in 2024-25 after securing an offseason trade for former Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray. As it stands, Murray joins Williamson, Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum to form a promising core of established veterans.

Meanwhile, the Rockets (41-41) are expected to return their entire starting five of Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Jabari Smith Jr. and Sengun. Houston’s bench is expected to be bolstered after Tari Eason and Steven Adams return from injury and the selection of third-overall pick Reed Sheppard in the 2024 first round.
